My First Blog!

How much more cliche can you get than to title your first blog "My First Blog!". Please be patient with me. I'll get there. I don't know what I intend this blog to be about other than a reflection of me, my hobbies, the things that I'm passionate about, and the things that bring me peace. I share with you a little part of my soul as inspiration and entertainment. I like to work with my hands so you'll find that many of my hobbies include cooking and gardening. (Hobbies should taste good too, right?)

The photo above is none other than shrimp and grits. It's a dish that is simple, yet soulful and filling. It requires patience and love to get the grits just right. It requires a watchful eye so as not to overcook the shrimp. Cooking is like therapy for me. I find it calming. It requires a certain level of patience and skill. You'll make mistakes but sometimes those mistakes can be delicious. As with many relationships in life, you'll undoubtedly get burned at least once but the end result is usually worth the sacrifice.
